Now I will narrate my own story - Guru Gobind Singh Ji
http://www.sridasam.org/dasam?Action=Page&p=132&english=t&id=68278
CHAUPAI
Now I relate my own story as to how I was brought here, while I was absorbed in deep meditation.
The site was the mountain named Hemkunt, with seven peaks and looks there very impressive.1.
That mountain is called Sapt Shring (seven-peaked mountain), where the Pandavas Practised Yoga.
There I was absorbed in deep meditation on the Primal Power, the Supreme KAL.2.
In this way, my meditation reached its zenith and I became One with the Omnipotent Lord.
My parents also meditated for the union with the Incomprehensible Lord and performed many types of disciplines for union.3.
The service that they rendered the Incomprehensible Lord, caused the pleasure of the Supreme Guru (i.e. Lord).
When the Lord ordered me, I was born in this Iron age.4.
I had no desire to come, because I was totally absorbed in devotion for the Holy feet of the Lord.
But the Lord made me understand His Will and sent me in this world with the following words.5.

The Origins of the Farla
The 'Pharla' In his book 'Guru Keeyaan Saakheeyaan', Swaroop Singh Kaushish gives a 'Sakhi', according to which, in Samvat 1760 Bikrami, King Ajmer Chand attacked Sri Anandpur Sahib Ji. Sikh warrior Bhai Maan Singh pitched the flag in the battlefield and fought with force. He was wounded during the ensuing battle during which the Sikh flag was broken by the enemies and fell down. A Sikh relayed this occurrence to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Guru Ji immediately made a 'Pharara' from blue 'keski' (small turban) and said, "Henceforth, this Khalsa flag will never be broken". The 'Sakhi' given by 'Guru Keeyaan Saakheeyaan' says that 'Pharara' was drawn from the small blue turbans of Bhai Uday Singh, Himmat Singh, Sahib Singh, Mohkam Singh and Aalam Singh Ji. Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, who was six year old, also kept a 'Pharara'. Guru Ji smiled and said, "Son! This 'Akali Pharara' will remain in the 'Panth' forever. This is the dress of Sri Mahakaal. Respect it equally to the flag". Thus, the book 'Guru Keeyaan Saakheeyaan' claims that the tradition of 'Pharla' was started by Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself. from amritworld.com

All humanity is One.
Manas Ki Jaat Sabhai Ikey Pachanabo
Awal Allah Nur Upayiah Kudrat Key Sabh Bandey
Awal Allah Nur Upayiah Kudrat Key Sabh Bandey
The Guru writes in Gurbani that all of humanity are the equal creation of Akal Purukh (The Timeless Being).
Recently a study was done on an Island where many people had been left there for generations. They were originally Northern Italians. As time went on some four generations later, children of varying complexions were born. Scientists have come to the agreement that mankind has a common genetic origin.

Baba Fateh Singh!
Baba Fateh Singh was just like Guru Gobind Singh when Guru Ji was a child. One day the Guru said to the Sangat, "can any respected member of the beloved Sangat show me the form of Akal Purukh?"
A very knowledgable Sikh replied, " Master, the true One is formless". The Guru was pleased with his answer. The Guru became silent, the Guru then repeated his question again.
At that moment Baba Fateh Singh had just entered the Sangat after playing martial games with his friends. He came to the front of the Sangat, touched his fathers holy feet, and said,
"Dear father, I can show you the form of Akal Purukh, if Akal Purukh allows me to do so, father give me permission".
Guru Ji granted permission, Baba Fateh then bowed to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He left the court of the Guru. Which stands on the present site of Keshgarh Sahib.
He went to Manji Sahib where the Adi Guru Granth Sahib was parkash. He performed Ardas to Akal Purukh. In an instant his formed was changed to that of his fathers. He had blue garment, a high turban, quoits, swords, a fighting stick, a khanda, and a farla.
He went back into the Diwan, he shouted a Jaikara, it seemed to shake the universe! The Sangat was amazed at this new appearance, and also amused, as Baba Fateh Singh's dumalla was so high for such a little child! The Guru said to the Sangat, "Baba Fateh Singh has revealed the form of Akal Purukh, this is the Khalsa". From that day on the site where this occured was called Dumalgarh Sahib.
Baba Fateh Singh was now full of even more courage, and warrior spirit he said:
I am an Akali, an immortal, our way is to serve all.
Our way is unique and distinct.
We fight the war of truth with our Broad Swords.
We do not flinch and keep a battle club with us.
Our turbans are like towers that reach the sky, adorned with round quoits.
The great Timeless being is our protector.
Guru Nanak Guru Gobind Singh our heads belong to you.
The symbol of the Khalsa is the Farla, given as a blessing by Guru Gobind Singh, our father, the one who gives freedom to all.
The Guru Khalsa Panth read the exact words of Guru Ji and Baba Fateh Singhs conversation everyday as well as other bani from Guru Granth Sahib Ji, as they tie their dumallas, and adorn themselves in their Bana, and Shastar.
Khusiya Jaikara Gajavey Baba Fateh Singh Man Nu Paveh Sat Sri Akal Gurbar Akal Degh Tegh Fateh.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is silent...........the whole world has gone still. The polarity of night and day are merged into one. Time has stopped. This is the opportunity to see the Unseen, and know the Unknown. This is the time when the nectar of immortality can be felt in each hair. May this moment never end..........................

Your will is sweet. I ask for the boon of your name.
Guru Arjan Dev was starved, not allowed to sleep, then heated in boiling water, then as red hot sand was slowly poured over the Guru, he sang with great hope and optimism:
Teraa kee-aa meethaa laagai.
O Waheguru! Your actions seem so sweet to me.
Har naam padaarath naanak maaNgai.
Nanak begs for the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
O Waheguru! Your actions seem so sweet to me.
Har naam padaarath naanak maaNgai.
Nanak begs for the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
The Guru was then heated on a red hot plate, on the fifth day of torture from the Islamic priest and rulers, The Guru was allowed to bath in the river, the Guru's body disappeared.
The Chardikalah spirit of Guru Gobind Singh - never accepting defeat!
Guru Gobind Singh has given every sacrifice possible to the Khalsa Panth, his family, his wealth, his smalls sons, his horses, his swords, and Guns. He gave all of it so the Khalsa could be free. His every Ardas to Akal Purukh was for the Khalsa Panth:
ਠਾਢ ਭਯੋ ਮੈ ਜੋਰਿ ਕਰ ਬਚਨ ਕਹਾ ਸਿਰ ਨਿਆਇ ॥ठाढ भयो मै जोरि कर बचन कहा सिर निआइ ॥I stood up with folded hands and bowing down my head, I said:ਪੰਥ ਚਲੈ ਤਬ ਜਗਤ ਮੈ ਜਬ ਤੁਮ ਕਰਹੁ ਸਹਾਇ ॥ The path (Panth) shall prevail only in the world, with THY ASSISTANCE."30.
He made every Singh into a Prince, and every Singhnee into a Princess. He gave the Holy throne of Raj Yog to the Guru Khalsa Panth Sahib Ji and Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Guru said:
" The deepest wish of my heart, is that the Khalsa Panth remains, even if I loose everything including my life"
At Chamkaur Sahib the Guru send his two sons into battle, one after the other. He watched them recieve martyrdom. Later the young sons of Guru Ji were executed by the Islamic rulers and priests. The Guru was in the Jungles of Machiwara on his way to Dam Dama Sahib, he recieved a message from the Islamic rulers saying give up now:
"Oh Guru Gobind Singh, you have lost everything. You have lost your throne, your horses, even your Falcon. You have lost your sons, your palaces, and your wealth. In the science of war, this means you have lost. Now give up and surrender. "
At Gurudwara Zafarnama Sahib, Guru Ji sent this reply with Bhai Daya Singh and Dharam Singh in Persian to the wordly Islamic Emperor Aurangzeb:
What happened that you have killed four children (my sons), the coiled snake (in the form of my Khalsa) still remains (to confront you).
What manliness you have shown by extinguishing a few sparks (sahibzadas). You have made the conflagration brighter and more furious.
Baba Zorawar Singh 9 years old, and Baba Fateh Singh 6 years old.
NA SAZ-O NA BAZ-O NA FAUJ-O NA FARSH, KHUDAVAND BAKSHINDEH-E AISH-O ARSH (4)
I (Guru Gobind Singh), have no throne, horse, falcon, or army. However I have the blessings of the Almighty God who is the giver of the pleasures of Heaven. So, I will never give up to tyranny!
Guru Tegh Bahadur gave his head for humanity but did not give his secret
The fanatic Islamic priests accepted Guru Tegh Bahadur was a great Pir, but wished him to perfom a miracle, to fulfill all their requirements. The Guru replied that doing such a deed was the game of charlatans, not of those who followed the Divine Will of the Timeless Being. They also ordered that the Guru convert to Islam, the Guru refused.
Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Dayal Das were martyred. The Guru was asked again. The Guru replied bring me a sacred thread of the Brahmins, it can be strengthened with the name of God on paper, that it will not be able to be cut by the sword of the executioner.
A piece of paper and pen was brought to the Guru, who wrote something on the paper, tied it to the sacred thread of the Brahmins. The Guru placed it around his neck, with the string. The Guru told the executioner when I repeat the last lines of Jap Ji, you may strick your sword.
The JapJi was completed, the executioner struck his sword. The Guru gave his head for Dharma. The Islamic priests were suprised they had expected a miracle. They examined the sacred thread, it was uncut even though the sword had struck it and cut through the Gurus neck. They looked on the paper, in Persian it was written, "The head was given, but the secret was not".
In this way the Guru gave his head, performed a miracle without going against the will of God. The priests realised they had committed the sin of killing a man of God. The Brahmins were both sad and happy, because they had lost their Guru, but knew they could not be converted to Islam any longer. Guru Gobind Singh, has described this supreme act in His autobiography as follows:-
"The Lord protected their frontal mark and sacred thread; And performed a supremely heroic act in this age of Ignorance. To uphold righteousness, so supreme an act did He perform; He gave His head, but did not utter a word of sorrow. For the sake of righteousness. He did this great heroic deed; He laid down His life but not the principles. Miracles are a cheap way of fooling people; True Prophets of God are ashamed of displaying occult powers. Guru Tegh Bahadur broke His earthly vase on the head of the Emperor of Delhi; And went to the Abode of God. No one has ever done such a unique deed as did Guru Tegh Bahadur. On the Ascent of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the whole world went into mourning. Alas! Alas! rose the wailing cries from the earth; While the shouts of Glory! Glory! resounded the heavens."

Bhagat Ravidas - Frog in the well
Gauree Poorbee, Ravi Daas Jee: One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
The frog in the deep well knows nothing of its own country or other lands; just so, my mind, infatuated with corruption, understands nothing about this world or the next. 1
O Lord of all worlds: reveal to me, even for an instant, the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. 1Pause
My intellect is polluted; I cannot understand Your state, O Lord. Take pity on me, dispel my doubts, and teach me true wisdom. 2 Even the great Yogis cannot describe Your Glorious Virtues; they are beyond words. I am dedicated to Your loving devotional worship, says Ravi Daas the tanner. 31

Sheikh Farid and Rumi - the longings of true lovers
This night, I did not sleep with my Husband Lord, and now my body is suffering in pain. Go and ask the deserted bride, how she passes her night. 30
Sheikh Rumi - The Still Point of Ecstasy
On the Night of Creation I was awake. Busy at work while everyone slept. I was there to see the first wink and hear the first tale told. I was the first one caught in the hair of the Great Imposter. Whirling around the still-point of ecstasy I spun like the wheel of heaven. How can I describe this to you?-- you were born later. I was a companion of the Ancient Lover; Like a bowl with a broken rim I endured his tyranny. Why shouldn't I be as lustrous as the King's cup?--I have lived in the room of treasures. Why shouldn't this bubble become the sea?--I am the secret that lies at the bottom...Sh...No more words -- Hear only the voice within. Remember, the first thing He said was: We are beyond words.
Never be without love or you will be dead.
Die with love and forever remain alive.
LOOKING For Your Face
From the beginning of my life I have been looking for your face but today I have seen it. Today I have seen the charm, the beauty, the unfathomable grace of the face that I was looking for. Today I have found you and those that laughed and scorned me yesterday are sorry that they were not looking as I did. I am bewildered by the magnificence of your beauty and wish to see you with a hundred eyes. My heart has burned with passion and has searched forever for this wondrous beauty that I now behold. I am ashamed to call this love human and afraid of God to call it divine. Your fragrant breath like the morning breeze has come to the stillness of the garden You have breathed new life into me I have become your sunshine and also your shadow. My soul is screaming in ecstasy Every fiber of my being is in love with you Your effulgence has lit a fire in my heart and you have made radiant for me the earth and sky. My arrow of love has arrived at the target I am in the house of mercy and my heart is a place of prayer.
Remembering death in life - Rahit Maryada
Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind to Dharma: are of Impermanence, Suffering, Death and Karma.
The people are intoxicated; they have forgotten death, and they have fun for a few days.Guru Nanak Dev Ji Siree Raag 15
The mind is totally attached to Maya; the mortal has forgotten his fear of old age and death. Bhagat Trilochan Ji Siree Raag 92
He has forgotten death, in the darkness of attachment to Maya. Guru Amar Daas Ji Raag Aasaa 430

The Dalai Lama says:
"First, it is meditation on impermanence and death that inspires you to engage in spiritual practices. It is an eye-opener. When you become aware that sooner or later you have to leave this world, you are bound to be concerned about the affairs of the next life. This awareness automatically helps you to turn to spiritual pursuits.
Second, death meditation is a powerful technique that helps you to prolong and continue your spiritual practice. In any endeavor of substance, be it spiritual or temporal, difficulties and problems are bound to occur. The power of death meditation helps you to face whatever hardships may come your way.
Finally, this meditation acts as a stimulus, helping you to successfully complete your practice. Therefore, awareness of death is essential at every stage of your spiritual life. As a practitioner, you will be more concerned about the affairs of the life after death. And by eliminating deluded thoughts and actions, you will be able to make this life meaningful."

As a practitioner, you will be more concerned about the affairs of the life after death. And by eliminating deluded thoughts and actions, you will be able to make this life meaningful."
with my eyes, I gaze upon You.
Goojaree, Fifth Mehla: Show Mercy to me, and grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan. I sing Your Praises night and day. With my hair, I wash the feet of Your slave; this is my life's purpose. 1 O Lord and Master, without You, there is no other at all. O Lord, in my mind I remain conscious of You; with my tongue I worship You, and with my eyes, I gaze upon You. 1Pause O Merciful Lord, O Lord and Master of all, with my palms pressed together I pray to You. Nanak, Your slave, chants Your Name, and is redeemed in the twinkling of an eye. 21120

Within the pool of the body, there is an incomparably beautiful lotus flower
Bilaaval:
Within the pool of the body, there is an incomparably beautiful lotus flower.
Within it, is the Supreme Light, the Supreme Soul, who has no feature or form. 1
O my mind, vibrate, meditate on the Lord, and forsake your doubt. The Lord is the Life of the World. 1Pause
Nothing is seen coming into the world, and nothing is seen leaving it.
Where the body is born, there it dies, like the leaves of the water-lily. 2
Maya is false and transitory; forsaking it, one obtains peaceful, celestial contemplation.
Says Kabeer, serve Him within your mind; He is the Enemy of ego, the Destroyer of demons. 310

Time and Space
They die and die, over and over again, only to be reborn, over and over again. They are struck down at Death's Door. 4
Guru Amar Daas Ji Raag Maajh 115
They die and die, only to be reborn, when their time has passed. Guru Nanak Dev Ji Raag Maaroo 1035
They die and die again, only to be reborn in the love of duality.
Guru Amar Daas Ji Raag Maaroo 1046
He dies and dies again, only to be reborn, and loses his life uselessly again.
Guru Amar Daas Ji Raag Maaroo 1047
They die, and die again, only to be reborn; they cannot escape the cycle of reincarnation.

The Sun enters the home of the Moon
Raamkalee, Second House, The Word Of Kabeer Jee:
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: Maya, the Trapper, has sprung her trap. The Guru, the Liberated One, has put out the fire. When I came to understand this mind, from the tips of my toes to the crown of my head, then I took my cleansing bath, deep within my self. 1 The mind, the master of the breath, abides in the state of supreme bliss. There is no death, no re-birth, and no aging for me now. 1Pause Turning away from materialism, I have found intuitive support. I have entered into the sky of the mind, and opened the Tenth Gate. The chakras of the coiled Kundalini energy have been opened, and I have met my Sovereign Lord King without fear. 2 My attachment to Maya has been eradicated; the moon energy has devoured the sun energy.
When I was focused and merged into the all-pervading Lord, then the unstruck sound current began to vibrate. 3 The Speaker has spoken, and proclaimed the Word of the Shabad. The hearer has heard, and enshrined it in the mind. Chanting to the Creator, one crosses over. Says Kabeer, this is the essence. 4110
