Baba Ji is about 98 years old, he reads a Panj Granthi and Das Granthi everyday at amritvela followed by practice of Shastarvidiya, he was a student of Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhinderawale. He has trained 17 Singhs into skilled teachers of Shastarvidiya. May Maharaj allow Baba Ji to keep inspiring us, and the best of health. This photo was taken at Akali Phoola Singh Burj, Diwali, 2005. Khalsa ji does he know the full vidiya? I thought that Niddar Singhs ustaad was the last one. I wasn't aware there were others. I went to india and asked a group of nihungs if they could teach me shastar vidiya years back. But they started teaching me Gatka. I was pretty disheartened.
He only knows some basic moves of Shastar Vidiya, Nidar Singh is the only person left alive who teaches the full Vidiya.
niddar says he's the last person left, but the truth is there are alot of singhs that know full shastar vidiya you have just got to look for them, niddar him self doesnt even know the full vidiya
they arent exactly guna start teaching outsiders, who just turn up inside knowledge. You have to stay with them a few years and also learn how to shoot guns, ride horses and use bow and arrows and do santhiya of path and do seva in the langar and clean horses etc
Nidar only learnt a bit of the vidya and made the rest up himself. Included the Hindu-snatan stuff later to make himself seem even more ancient. His claim to 5000 years ago is ridiculous.
Nidar singh learnt for a decent amount of time compared to others who have learnt for a few years," the hindu snatan stuff" you guys dribble on about you need to look at more closely. Half of the things people think he says he doesn't, as a person who has trained with him his ability in Shastervidhiya is astonishing. This is comparing to having learnt gatka in the past. For the nihang Singhs who still disregard snatan 'timeless' Shastervidhiya
still have no knowledge about how gatka came or what each Shaster is used for. The fact the budha dal of old ie baba santa singh approved nidar singh with his research and ability of vidhiya, also check out Akali baba ram singh who was also a component of the vidhiya approves of nidars ability and vidhiya aswell as how gatka and Shastervidhiya are 2 separate things . Keyboard warriors are everywhere, visit a seminar or classes and meet Nidar singh and train yourself if you want to really clear the nonsense people keep spewing. Funny how people don't even how all the Shaster they proudly wear are used , people be swinging them and jumping about with each one the same and call it vidhya.
