This body is the home of Dharma

Pauree: This body is the home of Dharma; the Divine Light of the True Lord is within it. Hidden within it are the jewels of mystery; how rare is that Gurmukh, that selfless servant, who digs them out.
When someone realizes the All-pervading Soul, then he sees the One and Only Lord permeating, through and through. He sees the One, he believes in the One, and with his ears, he listens only to the One. O servant Nanak, praise the Naam, the Name of the Lord; this is your service to the Lord, the Truest of the True. 16

I am just a baby; God, the Great Giver, is my Father.

When the baby's only food is milk, it cannot survive without its milk.
The mother takes care of it, and pours milk into its mouth; then, it is satisfied and fulfilled. 1

The child is so foolish; it makes so many mistakes. But it has nowhere else to go. 1Pause
The mind of the poor child is fickle; he touches even snakes and fire.
His mother and father hug him close in their embrace, and so he plays in joy and bliss. 2
What hunger can the child ever have, O my Lord and Master, when You are his Father?
The treasure of the Naam and the nine treasures are in Your celestial household. You fulfill the desires of the mind. 3
My Merciful Father has issued this Command: whatever the child asks for, is put into his mouth.
Nanak, the child, longs for the Blessed Vision of God's Darshan. May His Feet always dwell within my heart. 42

Lakhi Jungle Khalsa

Guru Gobind Singh writes meeting the Khalsa:


In the Lakkhee Jungle, the Khalsa heard of His coming and they longed to see Him. Just like when the water buffalo hear the call of the herdsman, they leave their food and water to rush to him. In their joy and excitement they ran to see their Beloved, each trying to pass the other to get there first. Their pain was gone when they met the Guru, their herdsman, and they gave thanks.

Baba Giana Singh - Shastarvidiya - Diwali 2005


Baba Ji is about 98 years old, he reads a Panj Granthi and Das Granthi everyday at amritvela followed by practice of Shastarvidiya, he was a student of Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Bhinderawale. He has trained 17 Singhs into skilled teachers of Shastarvidiya. May Maharaj allow Baba Ji to keep inspiring us, and the best of health. This photo was taken at Akali Phoola Singh Burj, Diwali, 2005. Baba Ji is an exponant of Jhatka Gatka, or Jang vidiya.

I have the protection of the All - Steel

Many thanks to Eric Schlaflang who filmed this back in 2005. Akali Baba Hari Singh Ji explains the metaphysical relationship of Sarbloh (Steel) , to the Khalsa. The Khalsa worships sacred weapons made from All-Steel. Some are carried on the body and turban. The scripture of Dasam and Sarbloh Granth contains symbolism related to this.

A few years ago, Bhai Sukha Singh Nihang and I were invited to speak by the Gursikhs of Espanola. They are usually known as American Sikhs or 3HO. We hadn't prepared any speeches or research. What you hear was made up on the spot, if it made sense is for you to decide. The Jaap Sahib is the first bani of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji and is full to a point of over flow of sacred Bir ras, or heroic essence. As many of the people do Yoga there, I decided to try and explain the Gurbani via the metaphysical idea of Shakta and Shakti. This theme also occurs in Adi Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. As the years have gone by I have learned a lot more with Gurus grace, and I kind of watch back and cringe a little :). One thing is for sure to understand Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Ji, one has to understand and contemplate (jaap) this gurbani. This bani is also related to Amrit Sanchar. Firstly we repeat it as the second out of the five banis recited, but inside the Jaap sahib are many relations to Amrit, that many scholars miss. First to the Khanda (Bhagwati), then to water, to sweetness, and so on, all are important parts of the Amrit. Jaap Sahib is also related to Shastarvidiya, this was explained to me by Baba Giana Singh Nihang, and also another Mazhabi Nihang Singh who used to live at Akal Phoola Singh Burj. To put it simply Jaap Sahib is related to releasing Shakti, and ultilising that power in life or war.

I bow to the guiding consciousness that takes us to realisation.
I bow to wisdom througout the ages.
I bow to True wisdom.
I bow to the great unseen Wisdom.


Vahiguru is an expression of enlightenment. It cannot be translated. Generally Vahi means wow, wonderous, awesome, magnificant, - Guru- light, wholeness, oneness, wisdom, consciousness, enlightener.
